My background is in legal finance in some of the world’s largest Global Law Firms, based in the UK and the Middle East. I’ve spent the best part of 15 years, managing and creating legal finance processes and strategies whilst coaching teams in Credit & Revenue Management.
I’ve spent the last five years enhancing my skills and expertise in building courage and confidence to empower people destined for greatness. I believe everybody has greatness within them just waiting to be bought out. I’ve supported a mix of people at all levels, students, business owners, employees, managers and leaders, as they develop their personal growth and transition in their careers and businesses by leveraging the power, they didn’t even realise they had. I do this by focusing on those four words, courage, empowerment, action and growth. My philosophy has never failed!
My biggest passion is working with others to identify the genius within themselves and use it to leverage their careers and businesses and personal lives. I help people overcome the fears and obstacles that hold them back from achieving their full potential. I can’t wait to work with you to do the same.
When you choose me as your coach, I will support you step by step throughout your journey to find your brilliance and build your inner power so you can become the ultimate architect of your future and walk into it with CONFIDENCE.
Meet the CEO
I’m JJ, and there are four words on which I base my life, my philosophy, so to speak, and they are:
Courage, Empowerment, Action, and Growth.
They feed into each other, so courage empowers you to take action, which is the starting point for growth. I believe all four of these things need to be present to create a confident life of success, meaning, and satisfaction -the life you deserve. These values fuel each of the coaching sessions and programmes I create.
The creation of Ability Business Group became an obvious step for me because my clients came to me for different types of support. Some required coaching, whilst others required training or consulting. I visualised how Ability Business Group could expand into a multidiscipline consultancy. The same orators, coaches and consultants I had connected with, could utilise this platform to build up their hours and develop their profiles without having the pressure of setting up their own businesses. We could benefit each other whilst adding value to clients and meeting their needs and our own. I still needed to do more work on my self-confidence to realise my dream. But how do you build confidence if you're too afraid to try new things?
We often think confidence will just 'come', but I learnt that confidence is for the courageous, which means courage needs to come first! So, I invested in extra courses, I read empowering books and articles and worked on building my courage by introducing 'new' things into my life. I engaged in some public speaking, I did some workshops, I found my voice and spoke my truth. I stepped way out of my comfort zone and began to use my courage, to step into my power. I worked hard to put my fears behind me, so they 'followed me and didn't lead me. My mindset shifted and I gained confidence in my abilities, knowing I will handle whatever I'm faced with. Before long, Ability Business Group was born. It had moved from a dream to a reality.
Passion was reignited!

The Story Behind Ability Business Group
I understand there is a distinct difference between business and pleasure but I believe you should find pleasure in the business you are involved in.
We are easily caught up in the constant grind and moving targets. I've done this myself. I've never aspired to be good, I aspired to be great. I have a strong work ethic so from my work you can see my integrity. Having a 15 year career in Credit & Revenue management I have worked with some of the largest law firms in the world. I travelled across the Middle East and Asia installing finance processes and advising Partners and CEO’s how to maximise revenue and reduce leakage. I enjoyed my work but began to feel like I was adding value to a ‘system’ and not investing in people. I became dissatisfied and sought the support of a coach. Working with a coach I identified I had buried my head in the day to day grind and my passion had been suppressed.
My passion was with people, supporting, listening, empowering and sharing my knowledge and skills to develop others.
So I sought out a coach! I received coaching and mentoring and saw the power of it first-hand. I realised I had spent so much of my life doing this whilst also providing a valuable service. I already had years of experience in coaching and consulting which could be transferred to a profitable business, allowing me to support people for a living.
The idea of it sounded great and of course, I wanted to live out my passion, but I first had to deal with my fears! My fear of setting up my own company. My fear of failure and my fear of success. My fear of losing financial stability and my fear of what other people would think of me. I had so many fears.
First, I got organised and I got qualified and became a certified career coach in early 2019. I attended networking events, making valuable connections along the way. I connected with orators and other coaches and consultants, each with outstanding experiences and similar backgrounds. They had something else in common; all wanted to develop their career but felt ‘bogged down’ building their brand or lacked the understanding in business operations, an area in which I excelled.
I began offering 1-2-1 sessions of Career and Business Coaching. I was empowering and supporting clients to progress and attain their goals. Clients from all walks of life. Each client I coached or trained, I learnt from. They each inspired me, some even inspired me to expand my experience by undertaking further study so I could better support them and other clients like them. An example of this was obtaining certifications in dyslexia therapy. This took me from offering support based on experience gained by helping family and friends who struggled with dyslexia, to being certified and having a depth of understanding in specific strategies.
I've supported a number of clients who struggled to manage dyslexia after being diagnosed as adults. I worked with these clients to create suitable coping strategies to help them succeed in the workplace and with their studies, whilst holding them accountable to their learning and career objectives. My experience in the legal field had me perfectly positioned to coach lawyers, legal trainees and business services professionals to level up in their careers, attaining promotions and new roles by helping them to leverage their strengths. I've also thrived in providing mindset coaching and consulting to entrepreneurs who needed support to launch the business they'd been dreaming about.
In a short space of time, I had gone from unfulfilled to, having the time of my life, doing the things I love the most; helping people!
